Dear Jaki,
I wanted to thank you for all the wonderful time, effort and encouragement you`ve put into my son Jack. I remember the first assessment you gave him, I cried because he was so far behind at his age (7), he didn`t even know his vowels!
My mother booked him into a 3 day holiday course and it was so amazing to see the improvement in this short period, She booked him in immediately for the term!!!
Its now been 6 months and he’s so much more confident, not only in reading and spelling but in every aspect of his life. He has finally joined a soccer team after years of us wanting him to but he never had the confidence!
Jaki, you have been such a positive influence on him, he has always loved coming and always does his homework!! Since he began coming to you we don`t get `sick tummies`, not wanting to go to school in the morning, anxiety, or worrying about not being able to do the class work. Even his classmates have noticed his growth saying he`s a great speller!! Who would have thought from a boy who couldn’t sound out a word 6 months ago!
I have worried about Jack for 2 years, talking to other parents and teachers for advise with no outcome other than “he’ll always have trouble learning”, I even thought of repeating year 2 to help him catch up.... and then we found you!
This term we received the best report ever with loads of encouraging remarks about how well he is doing. Now I know he`ll be fine and I think he does to.

I didn’t want to leave without thanking you (Jaki) and Mel for all the wonderful guidance you gave my son Will with his Literacy Circle program, now he has finished. You were both so positive and engaging that Will enjoyed what he was learning along the way. I’m amazed at how far Will has come since he started the program. He was not very motivated with classroom activities when he started last year but now he seeks to learn all he can at home and school. It’s been wonderful to see the transformation in Will and see his confidence increase along the way in his learning. He recently was sent a letter from his school Principal awarding him the “most improved” overall in his Kindergarten class. It was a very special award and they were to give him a pizza party in his honour. We are very proud of Will’s achievement, along with him, and I’m sure we have you both to thank for this. I would (and will) recommend the Literacy Circle program to other parents.
